My strongest focus in art for the last ten years has been glass - mostly kiln-formed glass. And in that realm, color is everything.

I kept seeing the beautiful small jewel-like pieces in every hue, and thinking they would be wonderful if set in artistic jewelry.

And they are.

My journey took me through classes at the College of Marin and the Mendocino Art Center, experiments in my own studio, learning from fine teachers and my fellow students, searching for the best marriage of precious metal and glass.

And now the search expands for the best marriage of precious stones, precious metals and sometimes glass.

It's a wonderful journey and I feel it's just begun! I can hardly wait to see what comes next...
