Miles Burgess   Artist Statement Miles Burgess is a local artist and a native San Franciscan. His latest work concentrates on nature. “Beautiful designs exist all around us in nature and are often overlooked. I cannot make a redwood tree nor an abalone shell, but I have found ways of showing them off.” Each piece is completely handmade. There are no molds or reproductions. The abalone and redwood come from Mendocino to Marin. We hope each piece will inspire memories from the area. Miles Burgess
